WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM DATA I CAN FIT ON MY DISC ?

• CD Audio / Data : 79 Min / 700 MB
• Mini (80mm) CD: Audio - 23 min 20 sec. / Data 200 MB
• Mini (80mm) DVD : 1GB Data Capacity
• DVD5 - Single Layer DVD : 4.7GB Capacity ( Note here that with DVD Video projects that actual capacity you can fit onto 1 DVD is often only 4.4GB of actual data.
• DVD9 - Dual Layer DVD : 8.5GB Data Capacity

 
HOW DO I SUPPLY A MASTER FOR DUAL LAYER REPLICATION ?

We can accept the following as masters:

• A Dual Layered Writable DVD Media ( DVD+R preferred or DVD-R).

• Two Single Layered DVD-R Media. Disc 1 marked "L0" (layer 1) and Disc 2 marked "L1" ( layer 2 ).  The layer change must be authored into  the masters as well.  Note it is recommended that this option is done by a professional DVD authoring studio.

•  A DDP Image File, this can be supplied on external Hard Drive.
  

HOW DO I ADD COPY PROTECTION TO MY DVD ?

ADM Solutions do not provide any copy protection system for Audio CD , CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (data) titles.

The only options available would be security measures that can be added to CD-ROM projects in the programming. These include PDF Security Measures, Serial Numbers for Software etc.

DVD5 / DVD9 (Video Only)

CSS Copyright Encryption can be added to your DVD Video Project.

** NOTE:  This can only done at the Authoring stage of production , not after the DVD Master has been created. So its important to ensure your DVD Authoring provider know if you require CSS Copyright Encryption.

As we provide DVD Authoring services we can add this to your DVD Video Project at the authoring stage and this would need to be quoted as a separate service.
CSS Encrypted Masters can only be supplied as DDP IMAGE FILES - on a USB Flash Drive.

ARE .ISO / .NRG FILES ACCEPTABLE AS A MASTER TO COPY FROM ?

• CD -ROM, DVD Video and DVD-ROM -  .ISO Image File is Accepted. 
  
• AUDIO CD:  We accept .NRG ( NERO) compressed files for AUDIO CD Titles.
  

Always let us know you have supplied the Master as a .ISO / .NRG so we are aware we need to uncompress your master accordingly.

WHAT SPEED SHOULD I "BURN" MY MASER DISC ?

Generally the answer to this is the lowest speed , the better. As a guide we recommend:

• Audio CD - 8 X Max
  
• CD-ROM  - 16 X Max
  
• DVD-ROM/VIDEO -  4 X Max
  

ANY CD-ROM MASTER PREPERATION TIPS  ?

Helpful tips to consider when preparing your final CD Master:

1. Never use a Rewritable CD Media, these can not be used as a Master Disc
   
2. "Finalise" your disc. Ensure when you create your final burn, that you select "Close Disk" / "Finalise Disc" in your CD Burning Software. By not selecting this you are creating a "Multi-Session - Open" Disc, which we can not accept as a master.
   
3. Ensure the file name is correct and is limited to 13 characters, sometime your Burning software can truncate the name if you choose a large file name so please check this as we simply make an exact copy of your master, including the file name.
   
4. Never include your artwork on the same dis as the master, we make a 100% copy of your master , so the artwork will be copied as well!
   
5. If you require ADM Solutions to make any changes to the master , including file names then we will charge you and need to send you a copy for final testing. Therefore make sure you have thoroughly tested your master disc.
   
6. CD-ROM Masters must be supplied on a CD - not a DVD!
   

DVD VIDEO MASTER PREPERATION TIPS ?

The final structure of your DVD Master should be as follow:

• The root directory of the disc you should find 2 folders:
  

Folder 1 : "AUDIO_TS"  (Often this folder is EMPTY, however this file is still required)
Folder 2 : "VIDEO_TS" 

No other folders should be in the root directory if your DVD is VIDEO ONLY. If there is a DVD-ROM component as well as video then there will be other Folders. However if your DVD is VIDEO , then there should only be these 2 folders.

CAN ADM SOLUTIONS CREATE MY DVD MASTER FOR ME ?

Yes we can assist with master creation !

I NEED 500 DVDS DONE IN 2 DAYS - CAN YOU DO THIS ?

Our motto is “your deadline is our bottom line” , and we believe we can make most deadlines. However, often this will involve extra charges for a variety of reasons, so if you have been quoted prior then we will need to re-quote for the urgent lead time price.  The main consideration is that you give us enough notice so we can plan your project requirements and make your important deadline.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DVD-R / DVD+R ?

These are the 2 DVD Media Formats available for use for  DVD Duplication.
As a default ADM Solutions uses “DVD-R” Media.
For “Dual Layered” DVD Media – we only accept “+R” media.

CAN I SUPPLY RE-WRITABLE MEDIA AS A MASTER DISC ?

No we can not print on or use rewritable media to duplicate a CD or DVD. 

WILL I HAVE PLAYBACK ISSUES USING DVD-R MEDIA ?

Facts on this issue are:

1. “DVD-R” Media will only play in DVD Drives that are compatible with this format.
   
2.  “DVD+R” Media will also only play in DVD Drive that are compatible with this format.
   
3. All drives manufactured in the last 7  years will accept both formats.
   
4. Overall 95% of drives will read both formats.

Hence you may have some playback issues with DVD Projects duplicated on DVD Media - as a guide approximately 5% of users as a maximum.
If this is of concern to your DVD Video project then you can “replicate” your disc which will eliminate this issue as replicated discs are platform independent and will work on 100% of drives.

WHAT CAN YOU DELIVER INTERNATIONALLY ?

Yes, we deliver internationally via DHL Express and Australia Post worldwide network , so we can deliver to any address or PO Box globally.

If you have an urgent request we can arrange delivery to many major cities of the world within 2-4 working days via DHL.

WHAT FORMAT ARTWORK DO YOU ACCEPT ?

The short answer is every professional graphic design program in PC or MAC.

All artwork must be a minimum of 300 DPI resolution. 
PDF Files must be PRESS READY PDFs.
JPEG files can be accepted for Disc Art only , again this must be at least 300DPI.

WHAT ARTWORK FILES DO YOU NOT ACCEPT ?

• Any Disc Burning Art Program eg “Nero” etc.
  
• Word , Excel , Powerpoint Files
  
• Low Resolution .JPEG / .TIFF

CAN YOU PRINT ON MY SUPPLIED USB DRIVES ?

No we can not print on pre supplied USB Flash Drives, you will need to order the Flash Drives and the printing at the same time. 

WHAT DATA CAPACITIES ARE AVAILABLE ?

The Majority of our  USB Flash Drive Models are available as a standard in:

• 512MB / 1GB / 2GB / 4GB / 8GB / 16GB
• 32GB/64GB/128GB may be available for some limited models
• Lower Capacity Models ( 256Mb/128Mb etc) may  be available in limited models

IS IT EXPENSIVE TO CREATE MY OWN SHAPED FLASH DRIVE ?

A customised shape to your specification will only cost $70.00 more in Set Up Fee than a "off the shelf" model. 
This is a flat fee and if you produce over 1000 units this fee is even waivered.

CAN I PRINT MY LOGO ON ANY FLASH DRIVE ?

Yes , the majority of our models can be branded with your logo , text etc. There are a few different printing methods and this is explained in depth in each models product page.

CAN I COPY PROTECT THE DATA UPLOADED TO A FLASH DRIVE ?

As a General Rule we do NOT recommend the use of Data Locking or Protecting your data, mainly as it does not allow for any errors in your data to be corrected and potentially then having to pay for a second run of USBs. 

However if you require it , then we can do this.
Data Partitioning involves splitting the Flash Drive into 2 separate drives :

• Drive A - Has your data on it , it is PROTECTED. Data Can not be added or deleted from this Drive.
• Drive B - This partition is like every other USB Drive - Data can be added or deleted many times as normal.

WHAT ARE THE PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES ?

Lead times vary depending on each model. As a general rule around 2-3 weeks produces most models.

WHAT PRINTING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ?

Each Model is limited to a few printing/branding options. Always check the options and limitations for each model and compare it to your branding requirements. For example , if your logo is a Full Colour Image - be aware not all models can be printed in Full Colour.
